Make Your Older Home More Energy
Efficient and Comfortable.
A Cost-Effective Energy Renovation
Will Pay For Itself!

An amazing, collaborative-partner project has taken place in the USGBC Northern Gulf Coast Region over the course of the past 10 months -- creation of a website and a treasure trove of educational how-to videos that show owners, buyers and families living in older homes how to save money while improving comfort, conserving energy, and helping the environment.  Please review the short video below to learn what the project has to offer, and please access the links below and at right to learn more about the Energy Renovation Demonstration Home project.

We Need Your Support!

USGBC Florida and its seven Regions across the Sunshine State, including the Gulf Coast Region, is a nonprofit (501[c][3]) organization. When you donate to USGBC Florida, you are helping your local community. The educational programming we provide on a monthly basis attracts local people who are concerned, just like you are, about sustainability, conservation, resiliency and green building. They use that knowledge to improve the world around them, which means it improves your world, too. Our USGBC Florida Chapter can provide that education because of the generosity of individuals and companies that sponsor programs and our nonprofit organization. If you are interested in having your company associated with the Energy Renovation For Your Home project, please contact Lee Cooke.

Why Renovate?

In the USA, homes account for about 25% of our total energy consumption. The average older home in America wastes about 20% of its energy. And energy is usually the second-highest homeowner cost after the mortgage.

Cost-effective energy renovations can simultaneously:

  • Reduce energy consumption
  • Improve comfort
  • Save money
  • Help the environment

And best of all ... incorporating easy energy-saving actions can pay for your renovations!
