I am a forward-thinking, enthusiastic professional, passionate about addressing the biggest challenge of our time, disruptive climate change, which leads to rising sea levels, melting glaciers, and more intense storms. Massive action is necessary because, as the World Economic Forum’s “Global Risks 2016” report emphasizes, climate change is the biggest risk facing the world in 2016.
Mitigation and adaptation strategies are now critical because climate disruption amplifies other risks including constrained economic growth, security risks, and water and food shortages. The new economic model is this:
Sustainability = Economy = Profit.
I want to be a part of bold initiatives in sustainability and clean energy that reduce environmental impact and energy costs and deliver a strong ROI in a desirable time-frame. For example, solar installations on buildings can lead to almost 100% reduction in energy costs and a ROI in 5 - 6 years, utilizing 30% Federal tax credit.
Now is the time to INNOVATE. We are facing an era of transformative development, potentially more exciting and dramatic than in the past decades. We must build climate resilient economies by building such organizations and communities.
Businesses can and need to lead this transformation by investing in profitable, clean, environmentally sustainable processes, energy efficiency, and clean energy.
I conducted market and academic research related to renewable energy, sustainability, and climate change, and environmental science and policy. I worked in finance, sales, marketing, and education.
These professional experiences and advanced education uniquely qualify me to help organizations and communities address very different challenges facing them today. I am excited about that opportunity.
