Three Education Approaches

USGBC Florida is all about education. We focus on three approaches to green-building education:

1. Increase awareness about green building and sustainability. By increasing awareness with building owners, the general public, decision makers, principals, facility managers, etc., we increase demand for green building and sustainable practices.
2. Supply green-building education to the community. By directly educating what is green building and how to do it to building professionals and the industry at large, we are able to meld demand with knowledgeable green talent and successful projects. By supplying green-building education to the general public, we empower homeowners and customers to ask the right questions to obtain the product and outcome they want, expect and deserve.
3. Transform the market with policy advancement. By combining education, market-based tools and incentives, we advance the market toward a more sustainable future.

Multiple Programs & Formats

USGBC Florida strives to offer a variety of programs and diversity of formats to meet everyone's needs.

• LEED & Green Building Education -- Including exam prep, case studies, and LEED v4
• Webcasts -- Including LEED-specific GBCI continuing education credentialing sessions and AIA Learning Units and Health, Safety and Welfare continuing education credits.
• Webinars -- Individual webinars on singular topics such as WELL Certification and topical and focused monthly webinar series on resiliency, Greenbuild Master Speakers, and residential green building.
• In-Person Programs -- Hosted by Regions and Branches via tapping of local and out-of-area speakers, programs include building tours, panel discussions ... and much more.
• Collaborative Programs -- Partnering with like-minded organizations both for in-person and online programs.
