Join USGBC Miami as we tour the 2016 USGBC South Florida GalaVerde's Most Outstanding LEED NC Education project -- the University of Miami's Frost School of Music! Come learn about the exciting sustainable strategies and technologies that went into this LEED Platinum building. Guiding the tour will be Jonathan Burgess of the Spinnaker Group who was the LEED consultant for this project. Elijah Black, from Sage Glass will also be with us to discuss the transition glass technology.
We invite you to join us after the tour for a concert by Frost Studio Jazz Band in the school of music from 8-9:30pm. The Band will be performing Ellington and Strayhorn, plus special guest Frank David Greene on trumpet and Stephen Guerra, Jr. as the Director. Concert tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

The Spinnaker Group is a premier green-building consulting firm based in South Florida. His firm has helped inform the design of over 100 Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified building projects, and is currently involved in more than 200 LEED projects pursuing certification, both locally and internationally. The firm has also provided Commissioning Services on more than half a billion square feet of buildings worldwide. Jonathan was the LEED project manager for the new LEED Platinum Patricia Frost music studios and also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture at UM.

Elijah has spent the last 5 years in architectural/construction material sales. Elijah is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served 6 years on active duty after graduating from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Hobbies include playing/watching sports and going to the beach.
