  • 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Santa Fe College, Bldg. E Auditorium, 3000 NW 83rd Street, Gainesville, FL 32606

Despite their importance, Florida’s waterways are suffering from significant pollution problems such as fertilizer runoff, poorly treated municipal and industrial wastewater, and failing septic tanks. Combined with the impacts from a rapidly growing population, we have a potential recipe for disaster.

This special event is being hosted by the St. Johns Riverkeeper, USGBC Heart of Florida Region, Florida Springs Institute and Florida Defenders of the Environment.  This documentary video, Troubled Waters, was funded by St. Johns Riverkeeper and produced by Ray Hays and PRC Digital Media.

Immediately following the documentary showing (48 minutes), a panel discussion will commence. Public questions will be encouraged during the panel discussion. The panel will address steps that we can take to protect Florida's waters.

This event is free and open to the public.
