Join the Northern Gulf Coast Region Friday, June 16 to learn about applied building science principles, sustainable design strategies, and green building practices to design and build crafted, safe, healthy, comfortable, affordable, resource efficient, durable, and environmentally responsive houses that incorporate appropriate, "climate specific" building materials, systems and technologies for the 21st century global marketplace.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand sustainable design strategies for residential construction.
  • Learn about fundamental building science principles.
  • Learn about common mainstream green building practices.
  • Learn about the coordination required to make a house work as a system.

Presenter

Tony Grahame is an instructor Pensacola State College on the subject of Carpentry/Engineering Technology. Certified by the Energy and Environmental Building Association as a Master Builder, Tony has built houses that have received numerous national energy, IAQ, and green building certifications including Energy Star, Environments For Living, USDOE/Building America Builder’s Challenge-Net Zero Energy, USGBC/LEED for Homes-Platinum, NAHB-Green Model Home, American Lung Association-Health House and EPA-Indoor Air Quality Plus.
